This story begins in the early 1960’s when our parents Frank and Julie Leahy, brought together by a deep faith, a passion for music, and a love for farming, married and began a life together that would, among other things, lay the foundations for what is now called Leahy’s Farm and Market.

In 1968 mom and dad expanded their farming operation from the Douro area to include a beautiful 150 acre farm just outside of Lakefield where our farm and market is situated today. A few short years later seeds were planted, corn was sold at the roadside, and Leahy’s Farm and Market was born.

Leahy’s Farm and Market has blossomed into something very special, much more than a stop to pick up fresh produce. It’s part of the living legacy of Frank and Julie’s shared dreams and a place where we, their children, have the fortune of continuing to cultivate, grow, and live out the culture and traditions that have been gifted to us over many generations.
